Ashwairya Rai's prior commitments in India stopped her from promoting her Hollywood film Pink Panther 2 initially. But now at a series of premieres lined up, which started in New York on Feb 3, she will make a crazy whirlwind trip to several countries and continents from Paris to Berlin to Moscow to Madrid for promoting it.
She was supposedly not doing it earlier for not getting enough footage in the film, which is essentially Steve Martin's vehicle. She rejected the idea by saying that doing the film was a joy and that she has transcended footage fetish from her first film.
The final destination of her 15-day trip will be to a screening at the Berlin film festival. Then she will go back straight to resume her shoot for Mani Ratnam's Ravana opposite hubby Abhishek .
Abhishek is accompanying her in New York but won't be able to accompany her other premieres as well because he has to be in India for the promotion of Delhi 6 ,Ash will return to India on Feb 14.
Interestingly, Aishwarya was offered the lead opposite Will Smith in "Seven Pounds" which opens in Mumbai this week.
"Will Smith and I will work together for sure," laughed Aishwarya. "There have been a number of offers. Dates just don't work out. If he's keen to work with me, so am I," said the actress.
