Aish encouraged Karan Johar

Bollywood filmmaker-producer Karan Johar recently revealed that Aishwarya Rai gave him the confidence to carry on directing movies after the actress turned down a lead role in his debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Karan Johar and chat show host said in an interview that nine Bollywood actresses turned down the role in the hit romance.

It was only Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who called back Karan and said she could not do it because she was busy in the shooting for ‘Jeans’. Aishwarya had the grace to call back and have a detailed discussion with the filmmaker, which was very encouraging for him as a first-time film-maker. Karan Johar's next film is said to be inspired by the American musical drama series Glee.
