Aishwarya postpones the French award ceremony in the wake of Mumbai Blast

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was to receive the great French award “ The Knights Of The order of Arts And Letters (Chevailer Dans I'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) on Wednesday but being a true Indian she had postponed this award ceremony. She was to receive the award from the French Ambassador Jerome Bonnafont it was given to her on Wednesday which was the National day of France. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan cancelled this award ceremony on the last minute in the aftermath of Mumbai serial Bomb Blast. Later this ceremony was shifted in the evening.
Later Aishwarya Rai Bacchan and Abhishek Bachchan were seen at Taj Palace at Delhi nearly at 9 O clock they were also accompanied with Jerome Bonnafont the French ambassador and Farooq Abdullah. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said that ” we are very much shocked and sad about the Bomb Blast . I on this very sad incident don't want to celebrate the prudent me and my family decided to postpone this event. I am also thank full to French that they understand are sentiments and cooperated with us.”

On asking about the Mumbai Blast actress said that “ we are very much shocked and saddened with the news of blast but we are praying for the sufferers and their family but this is not the point of loosing the self confidence but we all have to be strong enough and show the preperators of terrorism that these blast cannot break us and we will keep praying for the sufferers”.
