Accepted as one of the hundred most prominent people in the world, Aishwarya will now be adding one more character to her well-known career. The actress will join in Smile Train, in association with her own charity, called by the name ‘Aishwarya Rai Foundation, in various types to multiply awareness and acquire recourses to help the worldwide movement.
Using her superstar status, her high voltage personality and global accomplishment, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will work with Smile Train to complete an determined new goal in helping change the lives of over one million kids worldwide who suffer from shame and loneliness because of cleft lip and cleft palate. As Goodwill Ambassador, the gorgeous diva will dynamically work to help Smile Train to give away free cleft surgery to children in 76 increasing countries around the world, including India.

This initiative will help raise awareness in India and around the world to the plight of children born with cleft.Aishwarya Rai Bachchan mentions bhabgaas has given her plenty of reasons to smile and she feel it's time to spread it around. There are a lot of kids out there who so desperately need help, but can't bag timely care because their parivaars cannot pay for this surgery or are ill-educated about this occurring situation.

Aishwarya said that working with Smile Train, if she can make a difference in their lives, it will chiefly make her feel flattered and blessed with the blessings of God..It was also heard that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was to take delivery of the special honour of the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, requested the French government to put a hold on the award ceremony to be held in New Delhi because of the serial bomb blast that took place in Mumbai.
