Aishwairya Initiates 'Beautiful Beginnings'

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is spearheading a training programme for young underprivileged women that will see her actively champion the cause of promoting education among girls hailing from socially and economically backward areas of India.

After Hrs, the international brand for which she travelled to Cannes recently celebrated their 100 years with a function for all their employees, their spouses and family at a hotel in Powai. Ash was the guest of honour and she launched an initiative titled 'Beautiful Beginnings' aimed at helping underprivileged girls from socially and economically backward areas.

This project is actually the brainchild of the Bachchan bahu and she suggested it to the company. Ash has been associated with causes before but how she could help out girls has been on top of her mind lately. She has done films on women empowerment and now she wanted to
do something more concrete to help such girls.

Beautiful Beginnings is a training program for young women from disadvantaged backgrounds -- both social and economic -- where free education will be given to them so that their career opportunities rise.

Ash, we have learnt will also personally oversee and suggest different training programmes that will be provided to these women so that they can have better job opportunities and financial independence.

She has acted in films also on women empowerment like Provoked.
