In her latest film Raavan in Hindi and Raavanan in Tamil, the beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan portrays the role of Ragini, the wife of a abducted police officer. Aishwarya Rai told that there has been a lot of conversation that her character is based on a modern day Sita from Ramayan, which is not true. Aishwarya mentioned that her role Ragini is Mani Ratnam’s perception of this woman having strong will power.
