Former Miss World, the Bachchan bahu walked the red carpet at the Cannes in a different avatar. The actress created magic with her sensational appeal. But it appears like Aishwarya Rai has turned an older figure for Cannes, commenting on this she immediately asserted that she has a long journey to bag this tag. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to cast in Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine'

It has been already known that Madhur proposed Kareena Kapoor as a lead Heroine for this dream project, a joint venture from Madhur Bhandarkar and UTV production house.But after few meetings and discussions the actress simply dropped her plan to role for the same. Due to Some undisclosed reasons, film maker decided to freeze the project for some time and start something a new. This doesn't dropped his plans as the script of this project was close to his heart Latest is, Madhur resumed on this again and approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Though the rumors are that Aishwarya agreed for the same and will be in the lead role of 'Heroine' but she has not signed yet.

Aishwarya is been all time favorite among the crowd and it seems that this time also she is all set to win the race. Sources reveals that she would start shooting non stop for this film from June first week, justifying that much time is left to watch the actress in 'Heroine' form. This movie is based on 1884 - novel by renowned writer Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and directed by Ritoparno Ghosh. Aishwarya Bachchan was a special guest for a festival of Vishwa (world) Kannada Sammelena which was held in Belgaum, Karnataka. In this event, she dressed up with a traditional maroon kanjeevaram saree and became a center of attraction among the group of politicians, novelists, doctors and cricketers. She addressed to the audience in Kannada as well as in Hindi. Kannada is her mother tongue. Anil Kumble, Infosys founder N R Murthy also attended this festival. Aishwarya to be awarded by CM of Karnataka

Former miss world, the most beautiful lady on earth Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be awarded in the second Vishwa Kannada Sammelan which is going to take place in Belgaum from 11th March. Abhi and Aish to attend Oscars

One of the leading actor of the Hindi Film Industry of this time Abhishek Bachchan seems very busy in shooting various simultaneous movies which are going to release this year. However, the stunning bollywood couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are currently in Los Angles for a holiday.


Well, as per the megastar Amitabh Bachchan's twitter page the couple will be attending the 83rd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday. Amitabh Bachchan posted on his twitter page "Ya Abhishek and Aishwarya have been invited by the Academy to attend the Oscars on Sunday ... so ... (sic)," The actor has been busy in shooting for hos new venture 'Players' in New Zealand is recently in LA to spend some quality time with his wife Aish. The couple will also be meeting once Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who is also expected to attend the honorable ceremony.

The popular music composer A.R.Rehman, who has been nominated for his two outstanding delivers at the Oscars this year will be attending the event.
It has been speculated that the beautiful lady has been replaced by the film 'Fashion' actress in the new venture 'Game'. The film 'Game' in which Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead, is directed by Abhinav Deo who was ardent to sign up Aishwarya opposite her husband. However, Kangna Ranaut was the immediate option as a substitute of Ash in the film.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will now be seen on your fruit basket. Grafting expert and Padmashree horticulturist Haji Kaleemullah Khan has made a different variety of guava and named it after Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The new variety of guava looks like an apple and is more sweet smelling. According to Haji Kaleemullah Khan, the biggest advantage of this variety of the fruit is it’s soft seeds.


The horticulturist mentioned that all measures were taken to ensure that the product is free from any possible side effect which chemical fertiliser or pesticide may have on fruits. In May last year, Haji Kaleemullah Khan grafted a new variety of mango, which he named after famous crickter Sachin Tendulkar. Haji Kaleemullah Khan has also won the Padmashree award for growing more than three hundred varieties of mangoes of different shapes and sizes on one tree. The tree is about hundred years old and he started working on it in 1987 to craft different varieties of fruit.

Aish in trouble in Chennai

India’s most gorgeous actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had a terrible time at the Chennai airport as she lost her personal belongings while traveling from New Delhi to the south capital. Aishwarya Rai was scheduled for a promotional event, but as her bad luck is following her all the time she found her suitcase missing, the lady was in for a spot as to what she would wear while attending the event!


It was the airlines’ mistake and they admitted it too, but how could that be of any help to Aishwarya who was left with no clothes to wear for the event. Nonetheless, the actress maintained her cool through all this and also suggested to the organisers that she would go for the do in her track suit which is what she was wearing. The bag was finally found, but it was too late for Aishwarya Rai to use them for the purpose they were meant for!!!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has decided to stay at home for two months and help her bhabhi Srima with her baby boy, who was born on November 26, 2010. The actress will avoid most public appearances in the next couple of months, as she wants to spend as much time as possible at home only.


Aish will only attend those she had earlier committed to. According to a source, "Post-Guzaarish, she missed the promotions so she could be with her sister-in-law. Everyone is very excited about the baby. The actress had already warned all her producers, organisers and media manager about the situation. Now she’s all set to play the caring bua to the baby in real life now. After the gap of two months. Aishwarya Rai will finalise her next batch of films with Vishal Bhardwaj, Shyam Benegal and Madhur Bhandarkar.

Aish Needs A Break

Aishwarya Rai says her life has been extremely fast-paced since the day she chose to study science in high school. She is now waiting to take a much-needed break before entering another year full of film projects. Doing four to fives films in a year is not a matter of joke. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has proved her capability, power, energy to act in four films in a year.

Year 2010 has been very hectic for Aishwarya but Ash feels that her life has been hectic from the 12th standard. There has been so much jet-setting in and out of the country and travelling within India for the promotion of her films that Aishwarya fell slightly ill. But she is not complaining. She is still in talks with filmmakers on her future projects and will be able to announce developments around February next year. There are talks that producers are working out of the scheduling. She was going to sign up for two films to do this winter but the actress declined the offer because she already had commitment with all her directors of the film releases this year.

The internationally crowned actress is now looking forward to some relaxing time. She wants to make the most of her holiday period with husband Abhishek Bachchan and all her family members. For now, Aisha is just waiting for the viewer’s reaction with her final release for 2010 “Guzaarish”, in which she plays the role of Sofia, a nurse to a paraplegic essayed by Hrithik.

In her latest film Raavan in Hindi and Raavanan in Tamil, the beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan portrays the role of Ragini, the wife of a abducted police officer. Gustavo Kuerten has been honoured with the Longines Prize for Elegance award for his work in favour of the disadvantaged children at a charity dinner which was organised by Longines with Stefanie Graf, Mary Pierce and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Aishwarya Rai gave away the prize to Gustavo. Earlier this award was usually given away by Stefi Graf and Andre Agassi. Gustavo Kuerten was born on September 10, 1976 and he's a retired former World No. 1 tennis player from Brazil.

Gustavo Kuerten had already won the French Open three times between 1997 and 2001, and was declared the Tennis Masters Cup champion in the year 2000. Almost after 12 years on the international tour, Kuerten retired from top-level tennis in May 2008.

Aish gives IIFA a miss

The French Open 2010 woman’s final match got heated up with the presence of actress Aishwarya Rai. This former Miss World promoted Longines at the final war between Francesca Schiavone and Samanth Stosur as they locked their hands for the biggest clay trophy.
