Aish promoting Indian saree

Last Friday millions of heart beats just stopped after looking Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with a baby pink net saree and sleeveless silk blouse in Renaissance Hotel at Powai, during FICCI FRAMES Excellence award function. Award is handed over by Yash Chopra, for her contribution to Hindi cinema. During this function Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dress sense was ultimate and looks so beautiful.

Embroidery work baby pink saree, with a matching silk blouse made her, in a delicate look. The light weight jewelry stud earrings, a diamond bracelet, rings for both hand and styled straight with a side parting hair style, pink lipstick helps a lot, to enhance her beauty. Her eyes make up emphasize her green eyes. She looks like a beauty queen. During this function Aish introduced a Hollywood actor by name Hugh Jackman. She enjoyed a lot with Yash Chopra, Hugh Jackman, Karan Johar, Shahruk Khan and Vidya Balan. Aishawarya family members were not attending this event.

Later Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan put a signature for leading roles in the movie ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’. Ladies and Gentlemen is directed and produced by Rajkumar Santhoshi and is expected to release July 2011. She also signed up for another movie Devi Chaudhurani. This movie is based on 1884 - novel by renowned writer Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and directed by Ritoparno Ghosh. Aishwarya Rai Bachchans upcoming movies in 2011 are Dhun, Saamna, Biscuit, Happy Birthday, and Legend of Rama.

Aishwarya Bachchan was a special guest for a festival of Vishwa (world) Kannada Sammelena which was held in Belgaum, Karnataka. In this event, she dressed up with a traditional maroon kanjeevaram saree and became a center of attraction among the group of politicians, novelists, doctors and cricketers. She addressed to the audience in Kannada as well as in Hindi. Kannada is her mother tongue. Anil Kumble, Infosys founder N R Murthy also attended this festival. There is no doubt that former miss universe Aishwarya is so beautiful and she had so many fans through out the world.

Aish to make it to Cannes

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as revealed was approached by the filmmaker Rohan Sippy to portray Abhishek Bachchan's wife in the upcoming release Dum Maaro Dum. Aishwarya Rai who’s the bahu of Bachchan parivaar was first hanging on the list but later on the role was given to Vidya Balan. According to the buzz, Vidya has a very important cameo in the movie, but she was absolutely not the first choice to enact Abhishek's partner.

Rohan Sippy and producer Fox Star Studios approached Vidya as things didn’t worked out with Aishwarya. When Rohan Sippy was asked about the casting, the filmmaker denied to reveal any information regarding the matter. The husband and wife off-screen jodi was last seeen in 2010’s impromptu penned film Raavan. The prestigious movie festival at Cannes, attracting celebrities , critics and bigwigs from different corners of film fraternity will be present altogether under one roof for a important amendment. After four years of sharing love, respect, affection the most adorable pair of Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya will not be seen together for the first time.

Yes the buzz is absolutely true. Abhishek Bachchan is busy shooting for his forthcoming project in Russia. Similarly, the gorgeous lass will alone grace the French Rivera. The hot babe getting herself wrapped in the beautiful evening gown, having glittering clutch in one hand, will look stunning for sure. Last year the venue saw both Abhishek and Aishwarya promoting Mani Ratnam’s Ravaan. The actress who will be walking the red carpet will be presented at the Cannes for the tenth successful year. The actress had appeared at Cannes in 2002, again Aishwarya Rai will be visiting the French Rivera for the tenth time. Not only in Bollywood, but Aishwarya has made her mark in Hollywood too..

Aish to play Hema Malini

Only a couple of days back it was revealed that actress Vidya Balan would be playing Sanjay Dutt’s love interest in the remake of 1982 super hit movie Satte Pe Satta. But now it has been stated that Vidya won’t be Sanjay Dutt’s co-star but it’s Aishwarya Rai.

In the original film it was Amitabh Bachchan in the double role with Hema Malini in the lead along with a huge line of actors. Abhishek Bachchan is shooting for his forthcoming flick ‘Players’, which is another remake of the Hollywood blockbuster, film ‘The Italian Job’. If Aishwarya Rai does sign the flick, it will see her in a comic genre again, after her flop flick ‘Action Replayy’.

No more Abhi-Aish for Mani

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam banked on Guru’s hit jodi Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan when he made his mega-budgeted film Raavan but as we all know it flopped miserably. And now Mani Ratnam is planning his next, and wanted to cast Vidya Balan and R Madhvan in the film.


Mani Ratnam is looking forward to elaborate the chemistry between the two that was seen in Guru in the upcoming love story. Madhvan and Vidya too wanted to work together after the advertisment but they were looking for a strong script to come their way as they did not want to do anything less than what they have given until now as a pair.

Vidya borrows a saree from Aish’s wardrobe

Vidya Balan became the centre of attraction at the premiere of her recently released flick Paa, not only because the glamorous lady plays the lead role opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the movie and mother to Amitabh Bachchan but also because Vidya was wearing a saree which seemed quite familiar.

The actress, who has faced flak for wearing wrong kind of clothes, was wearing a beautiful saree this time but the strange thing was that the saree was to be brought straight out of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s wardrobe!

Yes!! Aishwarya wore an elegant black and white saree on the popular Oprah Winfrey show, which was exclusively designed by Sabayasachi Mukherjee. Vidya’s saree, also reportedly a Sabayasachi Mukherjee creation, was an exact replica.
