Heroine, the forthcoming film directed by Madhur Bhandarkar is somewhat based on the life of the Hollywood stunner Marilyn Monroe. The film’s script was written keeping Kareena Kapoor in mind. But the glam diva had certain issues regarding the character in the flick and did not sign on the dotted line.


A upset Madhur Bhandarkar earlier left with no other option had to shelve out the film. But now, the venture has been revitalized and its producers UTV were interested to rope in Aishwarya Rai. However, as another choice, Katrina Kaif was also under consideration. Heroinetells the story of a talented actress who becomes the victim of her own success. It’s an powerful role and both Aishwarya and Katrina fit the bill. But as the rule says only one can become the winner and this time the winner of the war of Salman Khan's former girlfriends to play Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine, is none other than one of the most sought out Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It was a great matter of concern as to who would play the life of a heroine who has passed her most important part in her career but refuses to believe that she is no longer in the limelight, Madhur Bhandarkar finally roped in Aishwarya.

Madhur has already met Aishwarya Rai along with his producer Siddharth Roy Kapoor. The actress, it seems that, loved the subject and gave her nod. After canning his much talked-about movie “Heroine” for lack for a appropriate actress, director first revived that the movie wanted either Aishwarya Rai or Barbie doll Katrina Kaif to play the lead role. After Aishwarya starrer Action Replayy and Guzaarish followed the debacle at the box office, we wish that this time Heroine would pay off Heroine’s hard work.
