Her recent Diwali release, Action Replayy, may not have impressed the audiences for sue, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan doesn’t bother. Aishwarya Rai thanked producer-director Vipul Shah saying that she thoroughly enjoyed playing the character of Mala. Aishwarya have never played such a character before.


She was so much moved about reliving the period in which her parents-in-law started working together and she feels really honoured to be a part of this flick... To portray realistically the 1970s, the era in which the movie is made, Akshay Kumar admitted that he had changed his looks on a character played by late actor Sunil Dutt. Quite surprisingly, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s favourite 1970s icons are her parents-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

Aishwarya mentioned that both Big B and Jaya Bachchan look great together, always. On the other side, the actress is extremely happy for her hubby, Abhishek Bachcahn, who beat her in the rapid fire round on season 3 of Koffee With Karan.

The former Miss World, Aishwarya rai Bachchan has been setting her own trends since the start of her career in Bollywood film industry. The film-maker said that his cool romantic comedy film, set in 1970s offered him scope to dress his leading actress in a variety of styles. The famous flawless fashion designer Manish Malhotra spended months studying the various retro or you can address as contemporary designs to give Aishwarya the perfect look for the various situations in Action Replayy. Other than Action Replayy, Aishwarya also has Guzzarish on her list that will also feature Hrithik Roshan playing the lead role…

Aishwarya impresses Vipul Shah

In his quite successful career so far, filmmaker Vipul Shah has worked with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen in the flick Aankhein, and also with former Miss World Priyanka Chopra in Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar starrer film Waqt. Vipul Shah has also worked with Katrina Kaif in Namastey London.

Now in the upcoming film Action Replayy which will be released on November 5, the filmmaker has worked with yet another gorgeous Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai… Vipul Shah mentioned that Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar on-screen chemistry turn out to be so great for this love story.

Aishwarya unable to promote Action Replayy

The former Miss World who has given successful films in her acting career and have won the Filmfare Best Actress Award too, Aishwarya Rai recently marked her absence at the promotional campaign for her upcoming flick Action Replayy, which is scheduled for release this Diwali, on November 5, 2010.

According to the reports, only her co-star Akshay Kumar is seen trying to promote the movie in every possible way. The film is directed by Vipul Shah.

We couldn’t understand that what’s coming in between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that is stopping her from making an appearance at the promotional event of the film.

We can just guess it that might be the actress have a busy schedule these days and that’s why she’s unable to take out any time to promote the movie. You can see the flawless beauty in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next Guzaarish opposite the Greek God Hrithik Roshan.

Aish falls on the story

Aishwarya Rai's recently released flick Endhiran features South superstar Rajnikanth opposite her in the lead role. Enthiran is the most expensive Indian film made till date. Some of Aishwarya's upcoming films include Robot which is a Hindi adaptation of Endhiran, other film is Action Replay, opposite Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish with co-star Hrithik Roshan.

Each of these films has a budget of around 40-50 crores. Aishwarya Rai said that she does not see the budget when she signs a movie. Some movies just happen to have a big budget. What attracts her to a project is the director, the story and her character that she has to portray for which she remains both nervous and excited until it's release.

Akki’s gift to Aish

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who will be seen hosting a cookery show soon, has according to reports, come out with a cook book and gifted a copy to his Action Replayy co-star Aishwarya Rai. With Star Plus' new programme MasterChef India, Akshay Kumar has helped assemble a cook book.


This compilation includes Akki’s favourite recipes from among those the contestants have come out with and, of course, it has his famous Khiladi special sizzler… And not only that but when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came to meet the actor on the sets of MasterChef India, he surprised her by presenting this exclusive cook book. Action Replay will showcase Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai in a retro look. Based on a 1994 play of the same name, the movie will hit screens on November 5.

Aish-Akki zoom back into 70’s

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshay Kumar shall occupy theatres this Diwali by zooming back into the 1970s. Want to know how, just read on- Alongwith Aishwarya Rai and Akki, Randhir Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Kirron Kher, Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav will also play pivotal roles in the movie.


The film is directed by Vipul Shah. Now, lets peep inside the storyline. Action Replay is the story that revolves around time travel set in the present day Mumbai. The movie basically tells the tale of an elderly man who rewinds his whole life, and straight away goes into the life of 1970s with the help of a time turner. The man wishes to relive his youthful days once again.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in long, hippie style hair and cites that yesteryear actor Sunil Dutt is his inspiration behind his retro look. Akshay will also be seen in cuffed shirts with long collars evocative of those days. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shall be seen in wavy, long tresses and flowing skirts. Akshay impresses with Aish

One of the most beautiful and sizzling lady ruling the planet is the former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The new Dimple Rishi

Vipul Shah’s directed film Action Replay will showcase actor Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai romancing with each other. The buzz is that both the stars are shooting a song dedicated to veteran stars of the 1970’s including names like Rajesh Khanna, Mumtaz, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri, Dharmendra and Hema Malini jodi.


Vipul Shah also included all time favourite on screen jodi Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. The director wants to shoot the song in the locales of Gulmarg.

Aish’s 125 costumes

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is all set a make record. Yes! It is learnt that she will be seen wearing not less than 125 costumes in her upcoming film Action Replay. Director Vipul Amrutlal Shah told that according to the script Aishwarya’s role in the movie loves to doll up and has a fixation for good clothes.


That’s the reason she’s gonna wear so many outfits in a single flick. Action Replay also stars Neha Dhupia and Akshay Kumar in lead roles.

One more name has added in the ‘We-adore-Ash’ list and he is none other than Vipul Shah. Aishwariya Rai Bachchan is playing female lead in Vipul Shah's Action Replayy opposite Akshay Kumar.
