Mom-Dad are my icons says Aishwarya

Her recent Diwali release, Action Replayy, may not have impressed the audiences for sue, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan doesn’t bother. Aishwarya Rai thanked producer-director Vipul Shah saying that she thoroughly enjoyed playing the character of Mala. Aishwarya have never played such a character before.


She was so much moved about reliving the period in which her parents-in-law started working together and she feels really honoured to be a part of this flick... To portray realistically the 1970s, the era in which the movie is made, Akshay Kumar admitted that he had changed his looks on a character played by late actor Sunil Dutt. Quite surprisingly, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s favourite 1970s icons are her parents-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

Aishwarya mentioned that both Big B and Jaya Bachchan look great together, always. On the other side, the actress is extremely happy for her hubby, Abhishek Bachcahn, who beat her in the rapid fire round on season 3 of Koffee With Karan.

Bachchan Bahu to celebrate New Year in Goa.

The Bachchan bahu Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to accompany her husband, Abhishek Bachchan for the New Year in Goa. Junior Bachchan aka Abhishek Bachcan is shooting for Ashutosh's Gowariker's Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey in Goa. The schedule has been for a month long. The schedule is almost over now, if the buzz is to be believed, the cast and crew will be shooting till evening on 31st December.

It is not sure if Big B aka Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan will join Aishwarya and Abhishek for the New Year as they both are very busy. They might join them at the eleventh hour. The female lead of the movie that is Deepika Padukone will not be able to join the other crew members for New Year celebration.

The rumour is that one might see the Roshans aka Hrithik and family and Bachchans bringing in the year together.

We wish them a very happy New Year and hope their magic keep working at the box - office.

Daughter-in-law hold reins

There is good news for Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd (ABCL), as Amitabh's daughter-in-law Aishwariya Rai Bachchan is taking control of the corporation. The corporation has borne heavy losses in the last few years, so all hopes are with the flick 'Paa'.


Bachchan parivar's bahu Aishwariya will take charge of the marketing strategy of the film. Promotional strategies such as head-in-the-box teaser ads, or Auro merchandise, Paa-and-I campaign strategies, or Big B visiting schools, etc all are being filtered by her. Also Jaya Bachchan will be introducing the cast and crew of the film instead of the regular credit titles.

In the initial teaser was Abhishek Bachchan playing role of father of Amitabh Bachchan. Then they showed a bald head inside a cardboard box. And finally came the television promos which revealed the crux of the film.

We wish Aish all the best so she could revive the fortunes of ABCL.

Jaya thinks Aishwairya deserved an Award!

A lot has been said and written about Ashutosh Gowariker’s outburst against Priyanka Chopra’s best actress award at the IIFA in Macau.

While most sections of the industry have come forward to deride Ashu for what they see as his childish and impulsive outburst, the one aspect of his criticism against the IIFA jury awarding Priyanka and not Aishwarya Rai Bachchan the award that has raised the most eyebrows
is his mention of Mrs Bachchan on stage to endorse and substantiate his public objection to Priyanka’s trophy.

Surprisingly, the ever-forthright first-lady of the industry not only stands up for Gowariker but also gives him a clean chit for mentioning her in his pro-Aishwarya speech. Reluctant to speak on the matter Jaya when persuaded finally opens up. “First of all it is being presumed that Ashutosh unnecessarily mentioned my name regarding Aishwarya’s omission from the awards. The fact is, I suggested he bring up the question on stage at IIFA. We were discussing why Aishwarya has not been given any award for Jodhaa-Akbar and I suggested Ashutosh bring up the matter. So when he mentioned my name he wasn’t doing anything wrong.”

Warming up to the subject of Aishwarya’s performance in Jodhaa-Akbar Jaya says, “The entire principal cast and crew of Jodhaa-Akbar have been rightly nominated for the popular awards and have won also. I find it very strange that Aishwarya who lived her part and looked
every inch the royal Rajasthani queen in her body language and overall performance was ignored.”

The frank and ever-forthright Jaya makes it very clear she has nothing against Priyanka’s performance in Fashion.

For she must be really good in Fashion and Priyanka’s work in Dostana was certainly good and Jaya liked it. She’s undoubtedly a good actress and so no qualms of her winning the IIFA. But what was disturbing was that why Aishwarya’s fine performance was ignored.

"I think she and the Jodhaa-Akbar cinematographer Kiran Deohans richly deserved recognition for their work", said Jaya Bachchan.

Abhishek and Ashwairya Rai Bachchan celebrated two years of their
marriage on 20th April and their successful marriage has shut mouths
of all those who doubted that it won't work.

pride of a delicate family jewel. Never over-stated. It’s amazing to
see how beautifully Aishwarya has adjusted into the Bachchan
household. On any average day, when she is in town you can see her at
Jalsa sharing the household responsibilities with the lady of the
house. Within Jalsa, Aishwarya has in two years established an amazing
rapport with all the members of the household.
