Knot of love goes 4 year older

L’Oréal Paris provide beauty service training to 200 poor urban girls (school drop-outs) each year in collaboration with AeA South Asia. As a result these girls become employable in existing beauty salons or are able to set up their own small beauty salons.

Aish comes back to saree

The Cannes film festival is one of the most prestigious and oldest film festival of the world. That is why the celebrities who attend it, want to look their best during this occasion. Not only the celebs catch the attention of the common crowd but they also get few important few deals signed here.

Aishwarya Rai who has been attending Cannes for the last few years is once more there in the recent Cannes. Most of the time our beauty queen Aish was seen in western outfits. No doubt these western dresses were a requirement of L’Oreal with which Aish has got a contract but then also finally Aish decide to show her Indian style to the world. She was recently seen in a saree during the 6th day of Cannes.

Aish was wearing a beautiful white saree that was studded with stones and had little embroidery. She was also wearing simple jewellery along with some light make up. So finally Deepika Padukone ,who wore a saree earlier at Cannes, inspired Aish to come back to saree and leave those western outfits aside for a while.

Sonam and Ash ‘s Controversy

Delhi 6 actress Sonam Kapoor called Mrs. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ‘Aunty’ which turned into big controversy because Ash worked with her father Anil Kapoor in the movie. But in media Sonam said that this issue has become very messy and she doesn’t want to discuss about this topic

Sonam has worked with Ash’s husband in Delhi 6 and she said Abhishek is her very good friend and she respect both Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan a lot. She added that she always respect Aishwarya and never have intention to hurt her. Because of this dirty controversy Sonam miss Cannes Film Festival as the face of L’Oreal in India.

Before Sonam, Aishwarya Rai was the face of L’Oreal but Ash said Sonam is young, charming girl and would be more appealing to the aged women. She said that Sonam doesn’t want to wank with Penelope Cruz, Kerry Washington and other famous personalities on the Cannes Red Carpet.

Ash-Sonam Controversy

Since the day, the two have been part of the same cosmetic brand Loreal.And since then, the Aishwarya Bachchan – Sonam Kapoor controversy refuses to die down too.

Both Ash and Sonam seem to be in no mood of calling it quits from the war of words. Just a few weeks back Sonam had taken a dig at Aishwarya by calling her 'Aunty Ji' as she had starred with her dad Anil Kapoor. Now, Aishwarya has hit back at her by calling her just another junior actress.

While inaugurating a beauty school for the cosmetic giant L'Oreal Aishwarya said that the issue had been blown up by the media. Aishwarya also said that there was no competition between her and Sonam and as the Saawariya girl was just another junior actress. She added that nowhere seniors need to compete with their juniors to prove themselves.

Sonam and Aishwarya have been engaged in a war of words ever since L'Oreal had chosen Sonam as the young face of their brand. Sonam had stated that she was the young face while Ash represented the older one.

Ash did not take this dig at her age kindly and made sure Sonam missed the opportunity to walk the Red Carpet with other beauties of the world during the Cannes Film Festival.

Ash-Sonam Catfight Begins

Aishwarya Rai-Sonam Kapoor seems to be in a mood of a catfight as of now. In a foray to take revenge with the Bachchan Bahu who reportedly stopped Sonam from walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival after Sonam had said during the L'Oreal product launch that she is the young face of L’Oreal while Ash represents the older generation.

Ash had been badly remarked by Sonam as Aunty ji. Ash is hurt by this
remark and had even demanded an apology from this two movie old naughty Kapoor.

But Sonam has gone ahead in seeking revenge and has started calling Aishwarya Rai ‘Aunty ji’ among her close friends. And she also tries to justify this.

“Ash has worked with my dad so I have to call her Aunty na,” she says candidly.

Ash has not reacted to this statement yet and this may be an indication of the beginning of a major catfight between the Bachchan Bahu and Sonam Kapoor.

Let’s see what’s in store for the two beauties of Bollywood and whether being called an 'Aunty ji' really triggers Ash off or she decides to maintain her calm and forgive Sonam.

Aish has no right to crush Sonam’s dream

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has no right to crush Sonam Kapoor’s dream. There should be healthy rivalry always. Actually, Aishwarya Rai didn’t like the idea of Sonam Kapoor becoming the brand ambassador of L’Oreal.

At the same time, Sonam Kapoor accidentally said some words, which went against Aishwarya. Meanwhile, L’Oreal has rejected these “rumors”. L’Oreal says, “It was company’s decision not to send Sonam Kapoor to the Cannes Film Festival. There would be a lot more chances for Sonam to attend Film Festivals in Europe.”

L’Oreal has tried to clear the mess in its statement, but I think, it’s Aishwarya Rai only, who pressurized the company not to send Sonam to the Cannes. Anyhow, it’s not fair.

It was meant to be an event where L’Oreal would shine in all its light as apart from Ash, Eva and Michelle, the star of the film, Penelope Cruz was also going to be at the premiere.

Still, the truth has to come out and whatever it might be, Aishwarya would stay in the tinsel town for a few years as the leading lady, but Sonam Kapoor has more time. She’s here to stay for a long time. So there must not be any rivalry between the two stars.

Aiswairya Rai attends Cannes'09 with Abhishek

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have taken off for the Cannes International Film Festival 2009 in France.

They've both gone on a personal invitation from the Cannes fest folk. Aishwarya attends the event's opening or closing every year, depending on availability of time. This year, Abhishek decided to accompany his wife.

The couple, however, will return in a few days time. Ash resumes shooting with Akshay Kumar for Vipul Shah's Instant Replay. Abhi joins father Amitabh Bachchan for another schedule of Balki's Paa.

The actress, who is a part of the jury since 1993 was spotted at the premiere of the opening film Up wearing a white ruffled gown that clung to her perfect figure. Completely stunning, holding a swarovski red box clutch, the actress wore red peep-toe heels, pearl drop
earrings and rings.

Later, Abhishek Bachchan inaugurated the India Pavillion on the Cannes
beach front. However, Ash did not accompany her husband for this event
disappointing many who expected her there.
