In the year 2009, it will be shocking to know that Aishwariya Rai Bachchan was actually absent from the big screen. On the small screen we saw her in the very recent Lux ad with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan. But now we will see her on the cover of the magazine Filmfare.



She has graced the November issue of the Filmfare magazine. Its looks like she got the birthday cake to enjoy with the friends and fans. Aishwariya said, “I am still answering the 'Thank You' smses”. According to Ash, “The wonderful thing about life is you never feel you have achieved 'it'.”

On the cover issue she is looking gracious in black dress. The magazine Filmfare keeps on chasing Ash as she has been on the cover of this magazine many a times in the past also.

We look forward to her upcoming film ‘Ravana’.

Ash and hubby Abhi in an ad together

The brand couple of Bollywood, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan are not just actors. This doting and elegant couple has been seen together in almost all the events but have you seen them together in an ad? For the first time, they will appear for a commercial ad together. The news is doing the rounds that they have struck a fat deal.




The couple has settled on a whopping Rs.25 crore for a soap commercial. It added that they have been paid handsomely, as it would be their first ad together. Ad filmmakers have been trying to bring them together all these years but failed to convince them.

Ash with hubby Abhi will surely look wherever, whatever and whenever.

Hubby Abhi gets Ash's name tattooed

The Bollywood tattoo club is getting and better with time. Saif Ali Khan did it for Kareena in the most dramatic way and drew huge attention and Hrithik Roshan for his wife Sussane did the same.




And latest to join the bandwagon is none other than hubby Abhishek Bachchan who is planning to join the club too. The news in the tinsel town is that Abhishek is going to declare his love for wife Aishwarya Bachchan by getting her name tattooed on his hand.


Tattooing seems to have become the latest trend in Bollywood. There are others who have done it for other than spouses like Sanjay Dutt who got his parent's name tattooed on his chest while Ajay Devgan did it for daughter Nysa.

Abhishek is currently busy shooting for Mani Ratnam's Raavan in Ooty. He plans to get the tattoo done once he returns to Mumbai.

Well, the most beautiful lady of the world certainly deserves something out of the box.

Aishwarya and Madhuri judge a reality dance show

Bollywood dancing divas, the real glam queens Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit will soon be seen in a small screen judging a dance reality show. The two beautiful ladies who gave sizzling performance together on the silver screen with Dola Re from Devdas will be seen in an different role.




It is known that both them have said yes to judge the show. If Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has to manage time from her hectic schedule then Madhuri will have a tough time between USA and Mumbai. It will be a great fun to watch the two glamorous ladies judging the reality show.

Aishwarya and Abhishek to perform Tandav dance

Mani Ratnam’s upcoming flick Raavan will see some different dance steps from Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Both of them will be seen doing some Tandav steps. To get the steps right, both are practicing under the guidance of an ace choreographer Astad Deboo, recipient of Padma Shri.




Mani Ratnam wants the Tandav Nritya to be an amalgamation of Kathak, Ballet and contemporary dance. Astad made Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to dance Tandav of passion, retribution and redemption.

As Aishwarya has got huge talent in dancing, she is picking up the steps very fast and practicing rigorously barefoot on an uneven surface while Abhi who takes double the time to bring full perfection is also practicing dedicatedly but ends up with devastating result.

Ash-Sonam Controversy

Since the day, the two have been part of the same cosmetic brand Loreal.And since then, the Aishwarya Bachchan – Sonam Kapoor controversy refuses to die down too.

Both Ash and Sonam seem to be in no mood of calling it quits from the war of words. Just a few weeks back Sonam had taken a dig at Aishwarya by calling her 'Aunty Ji' as she had starred with her dad Anil Kapoor. Now, Aishwarya has hit back at her by calling her just another junior actress.

While inaugurating a beauty school for the cosmetic giant L'Oreal Aishwarya said that the issue had been blown up by the media. Aishwarya also said that there was no competition between her and Sonam and as the Saawariya girl was just another junior actress. She added that nowhere seniors need to compete with their juniors to prove themselves.

Sonam and Aishwarya have been engaged in a war of words ever since L'Oreal had chosen Sonam as the young face of their brand. Sonam had stated that she was the young face while Ash represented the older one.

Ash did not take this dig at her age kindly and made sure Sonam missed the opportunity to walk the Red Carpet with other beauties of the world during the Cannes Film Festival.

Aish-Abhi decides to go a family way

The news that is spreading like wild fire is that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have firmly decided to go the family way. The reasons are aplenty, but the primary among them is Aishwarya’s approaching age.

Another factor for this decision is the pressure from the immediate family. The Rai’s and Bachchan family wants the couple to have kids as soon as possible.

In an effort in this direction Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is reportedly finishing off her present projects in frenzy and has not decided to do any new projects. Hopefully, Aishwarya Rai should be free by the end of this year to concentrate fully on becoming a mother!! The charming lady will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Action Replay. The film is both directed and produced by Vipul Shah.

Ashwairya - A Great Dancer

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a versatile performer and a personality to envy. She earns laurels in whatever she does as she does it with perfection. She is not only breathtakingly beautiful and successful, she is also an amazing singer and dancer.

Those who have seen her perform live swear by her amazing dancing talent. Recently, while shooting for Vipul Shah’s ‘Action Replay’, she was tagged so as ‘dedh second wali’ by the cast and crew of ‘Action Replay’ due to her commendable dancing abilities.

The actress was shooting a dance sequence for Vipul Shah’s ‘Action Replay’ with Akshay and Rannvijay and outdid the men when it came to picking steps.

Actually, Ash, Akshay (Kumar) and Rannvijay were rehearsing for a song sequence. But while, Akshay and Rannvijay were struggling to get their steps right, Aishwarya would hardly take a minute-and-a-half to get right even the most intricate steps. She was nicknamed as ‘dedh minute wali’ by the crew.

However, after they finished shooting the song sequence, Rannvijay had nicknamed Aishwarya as ‘dedh second wali’. And now the name has stuck
on.

Well, Aishwarya surely deserves every bit of the applause for her versatility.

Ash-Sonam Catfight Begins

Aishwarya Rai-Sonam Kapoor seems to be in a mood of a catfight as of now. In a foray to take revenge with the Bachchan Bahu who reportedly stopped Sonam from walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival after Sonam had said during the L'Oreal product launch that she is the young face of L’Oreal while Ash represents the older generation.

Ash had been badly remarked by Sonam as Aunty ji. Ash is hurt by this
remark and had even demanded an apology from this two movie old naughty Kapoor.

But Sonam has gone ahead in seeking revenge and has started calling Aishwarya Rai ‘Aunty ji’ among her close friends. And she also tries to justify this.

“Ash has worked with my dad so I have to call her Aunty na,” she says candidly.

Ash has not reacted to this statement yet and this may be an indication of the beginning of a major catfight between the Bachchan Bahu and Sonam Kapoor.

Let’s see what’s in store for the two beauties of Bollywood and whether being called an 'Aunty ji' really triggers Ash off or she decides to maintain her calm and forgive Sonam.

Aishwairya Mani Bonding

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the stunning actress of B-town is immensely busy with many projects.

Although, she has worked with many versatile filmmakers in the film industry, she has great bonding and equal amount of concern for Mani Rathnam, his director for several films.

He introduced her in tinsel town with ‘Iruvar’ and in fact won her laurels with his ‘Guru’.

As a matter of fact, her husband Abhishek Bachchan too shares a good apport with Mani as the director spares just Abhi to joke on the sets. When Mani was reported to have been suffering from heart attack, Aishwarya Rai cancelled all her schedules and rushed to Chennai
Hospital.

Apart from that, she has given priority to Mani’s re-scheduled shoot of film’s climax on May 25 followed by certain talkie portions to be shot in Bangalore.

Aiswairya Rai attends Cannes'09 with Abhishek

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have taken off for the Cannes International Film Festival 2009 in France.

They've both gone on a personal invitation from the Cannes fest folk. Aishwarya attends the event's opening or closing every year, depending on availability of time. This year, Abhishek decided to accompany his wife.

The couple, however, will return in a few days time. Ash resumes shooting with Akshay Kumar for Vipul Shah's Instant Replay. Abhi joins father Amitabh Bachchan for another schedule of Balki's Paa.

The actress, who is a part of the jury since 1993 was spotted at the premiere of the opening film Up wearing a white ruffled gown that clung to her perfect figure. Completely stunning, holding a swarovski red box clutch, the actress wore red peep-toe heels, pearl drop
earrings and rings.

Later, Abhishek Bachchan inaugurated the India Pavillion on the Cannes
beach front. However, Ash did not accompany her husband for this event
disappointing many who expected her there.

Ashwairya bowled over Menon for Deo

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the middle personnel when she persuaded her loyal and abiding hubby Abhishek to play the lead opposite her in Kandokondein, director Rajeev Menon’s next film. However, it didn’t take her long to go back on her word and betray the director as soon as another opportunity came along.

It’s not a hidden fact that Ash wants to concentrate on movies with her husband when it comes to Bollywood, and she is in the process of completing Ravan with Mani Ratnam.

She was bowled over by Menon’s script and asked Abhishek to sign on for the film. Meanwhile, upcoming director Abhinay Deo, who is directing Aamir Khan produced Delhi Belly, approached the Bachchan couple for his next film. Since Deo is a name to look out for, Abhishek and Aishwarya instantly gave him their nod of approval. Their dates, which were initially given to Menon were shifted to Deo’s film.

Menon is still reeling under what has happened as his entire project is now in trouble.
