Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the stunning actress of B-town is immensely busy with many projects.

Although, she has worked with many versatile filmmakers in the film industry, she has great bonding and equal amount of concern for Mani Rathnam, his director for several films.

He introduced her in tinsel town with ‘Iruvar’ and in fact won her laurels with his ‘Guru’.

As a matter of fact, her husband Abhishek Bachchan too shares a good apport with Mani as the director spares just Abhi to joke on the sets. When Mani was reported to have been suffering from heart attack, Aishwarya Rai cancelled all her schedules and rushed to Chennai
Hospital.

Apart from that, she has given priority to Mani’s re-scheduled shoot of film’s climax on May 25 followed by certain talkie portions to be shot in Bangalore.

Aishwarya Rai feels 'at home' in Jalsa

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have ended rumours that they are moving from their family base in Jalsa to a new home in Bandra. There is a happy and positive air about Jalsa. No one is going anywhere.

Rai told that the pair are at "home in Jalsa" and laughed off talk of moving, questioning the sources of gossip about the high-profile married couple.

Aishwarya Rai married fellow Bollywood actor Bachchan in April 2007 and have since become known as 'Abhiash' - an amalgamation of both their names.

Abhishek Bachchan would never leave his family home. And Aishwarya would never let him. She knows what family means, especially after her father’s illness when Abhishek stood by his in-laws like a son.Aishwarya has lined up quite a few films for 2009. Among them is the English film, The Pink Panther 2 with Steve Martin, the Hindi film Ravana and the Tamil film Endhiran.

The Pink Panther 2, the sequel to the 2006 film Pink Panther, starring Ash has raked in Rs 10 million during its opening weekend at the India box office. Distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) Films India, the film was released in 40 screens (35 prints and 5 digital) across India in English.

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) Films India MD Kercy Daruwala informed that though the film was released with only 40 prints in the first phase and that too around examination time, it was the curiosity factor and great fan following of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan which helped garner an impressive opening collection of Rs.10 million plus across India.

The sequel, directed by Harald Zwart, stars Steve Martin as he reprises the role of intrepid-if-bumbling French police detective, Inspector Jacques Clouseau. Martin is joined by co-stars Jean Reno (as Ponton, his partner) and Emily Mortimer (as Nicole , the object of his awkward affections).

Abhishek is Ash’s precedence

Abhishek Bachchan precedes for wife Ashwairya Rai and not Will smith or any of her projects. Abhishek is Ash’s precedence. Ash declared so while talking to the journalists at the set of Maniratnam's movie Ravana near Kolkata.

She was asked whether she would be working with Will Smith or not in the next coming Hollywood flick. Ash told that Abhishek is my first priority and Smith would come after Abhishek only.

In the mean time, everyone is talking about Pink Panther-2. The movie apart, 2009 has begun on a good note for Ash. She made it to the Top 50 Most Desirable Woman in the World list in an international online poll and was honoured with the Padma Shri back home, both of which she credits to her fans support.

She don’t have a role-length-fetish as she never worked with stardust in her eyes. When asked about it, Ash claimed it was really a fun part to work with the Pink Panther 2 team. Each of the actors — right from Jean Reno to Andy Garcia and including herself — knew that it’s a Steve Martin film. So it is extremely silly and exhausting to talk about the length of the role.

Ash is in Kolkata with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan to shoot “Ravana.” This film would be released in the second half of this year. Replying to the questions of journalists about her role in the movie Ash revealed that she don’t play Sita, but a role similar to hers in a modern day Ramayana.

Not only this, Ash is working with her hubby in other two movies. Rajiv Menon’s ‘Dhun’ which is based completely on music and Farhan Akhtar's next untitled venture. Critics say that it would be similar to Abhiman, where Jaya and Amitabh worked, but the actress has refused to comment on the movie. “Let’s see what’s in the movie,” said Ash.

Ashwairya Rai – A.R. Rahman aficianado!!!

The double-Oscar winner A. R. Rahman is a master musician, had made India proud and had composed music for maximum of her films.
Yes, we are talking about Bollywood actor and former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Ash is all praises for Rehmaan. She admits that working with Rahman has been an absolute pleasure. The journey has been long and the two had started off their careers at almost the same time. It’s not just from Taal to Guru, but it’s from ‘Iruvar’ till ‘Ravana’.

In fact, maximum of Ash’s films have enjoyed the music of Rahman and as a music lover and fan, she had always admired his music and thinks she is a gifted musician. Rai was expressing her views while addressing a press conference in Kolkata. The Bollywood actress, who was in Kolkata for the shooting of her upcoming flick ‘Ravana’, said she was elated at Rehman’s double win at the Oscars for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.

Rai added, though Rahman was very much celebrated in India but winning Oscar meant the global recognition, which was indeed special. Rai also shared her experiences of working with actor Steve Martin in her latest Hollywood flick ‘The Pink Panther 2′. Rai said, “Working with Steve Martin was a good experience since he is the institution of comedy. We grew up watching his movie. So when it came to working with him she thought privileged and very happy to have got a chance to work with all these great actors.
She found her character in ‘Ravana’ quite challenging too.She is cast opposite to hubby Abhishek in this Mani Ratnam flick.
